Benefits of online tax scheme on wedding grant portal

District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Mohan Tripathi has informed that the rules have been issued by the government to provide grants for the marriage of poor people of poor persons of other backward classes (except minority backward classes). In the process of online application from the financial year 2023-24, Aadhaar certification/EKYC has been implemented. Under this process, before filling the online application by the applicant, it is necessary to have records of your Aadhaar card, daughter’s Aadhaar card and Aadhaar card, mobile number and caste certificate, income certificate, bank account passbook and wedding card etc.

The applicant (parent/guardian) wedding grant portal http://shadianudan.upsdc.gov.in will start the process of Aadhaar Maravanan by marking his Aadhaar number for his registration. On the wedding grant portal, the Aadhaar of both the applicant and the daughter will be ensured. The process of filling the application will be started by implementing the registration number received after the completion of the Aadhaar and the OTP received on the mobile. He informed that the income limit of applicants has been amended under the wedding grant scheme run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department. According to which the income of applicant in urban areas and rural areas will not be more than 1.00 lakh per year.

The online application under the wedding grant scheme is acceptable only 90 days before the wedding date and 90 days after the wedding date. But the said period will be counted between financial year i.e. between April 01 to March 31. The daughter’s age is 18 years or more on the date of marriage and the age of the groom is 21 years or more. A grant will be permissible for the marriage of a maximum of 02 daughters from a family. After the death of the husband, preference will be given to the destitute women and disabled applications. The amount of marriage grant will be sent to the accounts of the eligible beneficiaries through Rs 20000.00 E payment. Under the scheme, the eligible and interested persons can get the benefit of the scheme by submitting online applying on the said wedding grant portal and submitted to the concerned tehsil or development block including all attachments.
