Dibrugarh: Akasa Air on Tuesday commenced its flight operations at Dibrugarh Airport, marking the airline’s second destination in the northeast after Guwahati and significantly enhancing air connectivity in the region.With the launch of these services, Dibrugarh has become Akasa Air’s 32nd destination in its growing domestic network.
As part of the expansion, the airline has introduced thrice-weekly flights connecting Dibrugarh with Bengaluru via Bagdogra. The flight will depart from Dibrugarh Airport at 11.15 am and will reach Bengaluru at 4.30 pm, which will also include a 35-minute technical stopover at Bagdogra Airport. The flights are scheduled to operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.Airport officials stated that “the commencement of Akasa Air services is expected to provide passengers with more travel choices and improved connectivity to key destinations across the country.” The new routes are likely to benefit both business and leisure travellers, while also strengthening intra-northeast mobility and promoting greater economic integration within the region.
