Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to actor and BJP MLA Hiranmoy Chattopadhyay, popularly known as Hiran, in a complaint filed by his wife for allegedly “illegally” getting married for the second time. Justice Jay Sengupta, however, directed him to appear at Anandapur police station once every 15 days. In the complaint filed on Jan 22, his wife accused Hiran of “illegally” marrying Ritika Giri, causing mental and physical torture. She claimed she came to know of the second marriage on social media.
