Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh BJP vice-president Neeraj Singh unveiled a tribute magazine in memory of late Kayastha neta Vinod Bihari Verma at a programme in Lucknow.Singh said Verma worked to create awareness and organisation among the Kayastha community and added that his life and conduct could serve as an inspiration for others.National president of Akhil Bharatiya Chitransh Sanatan Mahasabha, Sanjeev Verma, spoke about the organisation’s proposed Sept 27 conference and said thousands of members of the Chitransh community from across the country and Uttar Pradesh were expected to attend.He also announced plans for a wider campaign aimed at promoting unity and fraternity among different Hindu communities and castes. District-level committees would be formed to coordinate the campaign, with its launch date to be announced later, he said.The organisation also proposed a ‘Babuji Sanatan Sahayata Kosh’ in Verma’s memory to support the marriage of girls from economically backward sections, education of financially weaker children and people affected by disasters.The organisers said defence minister Rajnath Singh, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and several other public representatives and dignitaries had assured their participation in the Sept 27 event.
