Trade agreements unlocking new opportunities for youth, says PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addresses ‘Rozgar Mela’, Jobs Fair, from New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Saturday the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) India has signed with many countries are unlocking new opportunities for youths in fields ranging from entrepreneurship to jobs.Addressing a ‘Rozgar Mela’ virtually after distributing 51,000 appointment letters in govt sector to the recruits, he said these agreements pave the way for new partnerships and markets for entrepreneurs, while creating fresh career possibilities for the youth as well. “Our youth’s talent and skills have earned global confidence and the world pins great hopes on our innovators, entrepreneurs, and our vibrant youth power,” he said. With the Brics summit recently concluded, he said India’s effort has been to ensure that the cooperation between these countries does not remain limited to govts alone. “Our entrepreneurs, farmers, women, youth – everyone should become an active partner in this partnership,” he said, adding the country’s burgeoning startup ecosystem reflects the youth power as it is no longer limited to big cities and has expanded to tier-2 and tier-3 cities as well.
