Sanskrit board cancels edu records of student over fake docus

Lucknow: The UP Secondary Sanskrit Education Board has on Monday cancelled all academic records of a student who took the 2026 Uttar Madhyama (Intermediate) examination and excelled, after an inquiry allegedly found evidence of forged documents and manipulation of personal records. The action was initiated after a criminal case was registered against the student at Aspur Devsara police station in Pratapgarh.According to an order issued by the board, the complainant Jagat Prasad stated that the student’s actual identity is different and that he had previously studied under a different name and date of birth in mainstream educational institutions.Following the allegations, the district inspector of schools, Pratapgarh, conducted an inquiry and sought explanations from the management of the school where the student was enrolled.School authorities stated that admission had been granted in Apr 2022 on the basis of an affidavit submitted by the student’s father, who claimed that no previous educational records were available. Documents submitted at the time showed the student’s date of birth as Jul 1, 2010.An investigation carried out by the department found that the transfer certificate submitted by the student had been issued by a school that doesn’t exist. The inquiry further referred to police findings indicating that records such as the ration card, voter list and family register of the family concerned did not contain the student’s name.Officials said that the investigations concluded that the student had allegedly changed his name and date of birth before securing admission in the Sanskrit education system.
