Raebareli News: World Mental Day awareness program organized in CHC Bela-Bhela

Raebareli News ! World Mental Day was celebrated on 10 October in the district under the National Mental Health Programme. In the same sequence, an awareness program and mental health camp was organized at the Community Health Center Bela-Bhela, which was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Naveen Chandra by cutting the ribbon.

Addressing the people on this occasion, the Chief Medical Officer said that every year on 10th October, Mental Health Day is celebrated with the aim of creating awareness about mental health. This year the theme of this day is – “Access to Services- Mental Health in Catastrophes and emergencies”.
According to the theme – Everyone should have access to mental health in disasters and emergencies. In disasters, a person not only suffers material and physical harm but his mental health is also affected. Mental health cannot be ignored after any type of disaster. Take the example of the Corona period.

This emergency affected the mental health of a large number of people. Services are being provided to people in the district under the National Mental Health Programme. “TeleManas” helpline – 14416 has been issued on which one can call to avail mental health related services. District Health Education and Information Officer D.S. Asthana said that mental health specialists provide their services in room number 63 of the district hospital, apart from this, camps are organized at CHC from time to time. In the health camp organized on this occasion, the mental health of a total of 226 patients was examined.

In this program, Medical Superintendent of CHC Dr. Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Health Education Officer Ratnakar Pandey, doctors of the district mental team and all the officers and employees of the hospital were present.
