Their calendar is full, their inbox is always open, and when someone asks about a holiday, they smile and say, ” Maybe next year”. From the outside, it looks like dedication. From the inside, it might just feel more complicated.
Most of us know this person, and some of us are this person. These people either blame the timing, say the team needs us, or say that a break can wait. A day off sounds simple, but for many people it is anything but ordinary. And yet the days quietly pile up, year after year, while tiredness builds in the background.
