New Delhi. The crop gets damaged due to weather. In such a situation, many farmers who had taken loan from money lenders or banks have to face financial crisis. The government is running many schemes to provide financial benefits to farmers.PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana ) is also a scheme run by the government for farmers. In this scheme, the government gives an amount of Rs 6,000 annually to the farmers in installments. The 16th installment has arrived in the farmers’ account on 28 February 2024.
Now farmers are waiting for the 17th installment ( PM Kisan Yojana 17th Installment ).
The amount of the 16th installment has not come in the accounts of many farmers, even though their name is in the beneficiary list. The reason for this is that the government has made e-KYC and land verification mandatory. That is, farmers who have not done e-KYC and land verification will not get the benefit of this scheme.
How to do e-KYC
E-KYC can be done easily through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Scheme) website (pmkisan.gov.in) or the PM Kisan app. E-KYC can be done through face authentication on the Kisan app.
At the same time, the farmer can also go to CSC (Common Service Centre) and do e-KYC through biometric authentication.
The farmer will have to upload his land documents on the PM Kisan website and app and verify them. After this, the verification will be done by the Agriculture Department officer.
