Muzaffarnagar local news: Grocery businessman’s family held hostage and robbed of Rs 20 lakh, son injected with intoxicants

Muzaffarnagar.  In Bhopa town, armed criminals held the family of a grocery businessman hostage and looted Rs 20 lakh. After the incident, the criminals held the entire family hostage in a room and fled.The victim businessman’s son informed the police about the incident two hours after the miscreants had left. From officials to search dogs and forensic team, everyone went to the spot and investigated but the police could not find any clue. The businessman’s family is in panic since the incident.Satish has a grocery business in Bhopa main market. The shop and house are together. Bhopa police station is two hundred meters away from his house. At night Satish was sleeping in a room with his wife Vandana, while his son Vikas was sleeping in another room. The servant Sagar was also sleeping in a separate room.

Armed goons attacked in the night

At one o’clock in the night, six armed goons entered Satish’s house by jumping over the wall. The goons got the room opened and tied the couple’s hands with a rope. One goon kept an eye on the couple. Five goons entered Vikas’s room. When Vikas protested, they beat him up and made him unconscious by injecting him with a sedative. The goons had brought the injection with them. After this, the goons took the servant Sagar at gunpoint and reached Satish’s room.

The miscreants threatened to shoot Satish’s wife and took the keys of the safe and looted the cash and jewellery kept in the safe and tied up the family and fled from there at 2 o’clock in the night. After regaining consciousness, Vikas informed the Bhopa police station about the incident at 3 o’clock in the night. As soon as the information of robbery was received, there was panic among the officials.

SP Rural reached the spot

As soon as the day broke, SP Rural Aditya Bansal, CO Devavtri Vajpayee reached the spot and called the dog squad and forensic team to search for the miscreants. The forensic team took samples from the crime scene and left, while the dog squad team returned after roaming around.

Businessman Satish has told the police officers that the criminals have looted Rs 10 lakh kept in the safe and jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh. The criminals had brought pistols, guns, ropes and intoxicating injections with them. Rural SP Aditya Bansal said that two teams have been formed to arrest the criminals.
