Meeting of District Level Go Conservation and Monitoring Committee under the chairmanship of Go Seva Commission

The meeting of the District Level Go Conservation and Monitoring Committee was held in the Collectorate Auditorium at Bacha Bhavan. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ramakant Upadhyay, a Member, UP Go Seva Commission, Lucknow.

In the meeting, Member Go Seva Commission inquired about the facilities being provided in the Goashraya sites. Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Anil Kumar gave detailed information about the facilities.
Shri Ramakant said that green fodder is a basic requirement in Gaushalas. The cooperation of NGOs should also be taken to ensure adequate supply of green fodder. The cow dynasty should be provided with enough water to avoid the heat wave. Also, their medical examination should be conducted from time to time. Cooler fans should be installed at the shelter sites.

He said that the cow has mythological and scientific significance. Protection of cows is necessary to preserve this importance. Cow dung and cow urine should be used scientifically. Cow dung has special significance in organic farming. Arrangements must be made to make composite fertilizer in all cowsheds.
District Development Officer Arun Kumar, PD Satish Mishra, all veterinary officers including Block Development Officer were present in the meeting.
