An Indian-American toddler, Advay Jain, has made Guinness record as the youngest person (male) to have published a book. He was 3 years and 345 days old when he published ‘Dino Learns Not To Waste Food’. Now he is 4. Consul General of India in New York, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, felicitated Jain at his office for his achievement and congratulated him. “Consul General @binaysrikant76 welcomed 4-year-old Indian-origin author Advay Jain @theauthorsiblings, Guinness World Record holder for being the youngest male to publish a book,” the social media post from the consulate read.“Through his book “Dino Learns Not to Waste Food”, Advay inspires young readers to value food and embrace the importance of avoiding food waste.”“Warm congratulations to Advay on this remarkable achievement, and best wishes to Advay and his 12-year-old sister, Ms. Avya, also an author and painter, as they continue to inspire young minds through their creativity and stories,” it added.Earlier in 2026, Jain, a pre-schooler from South Brunswick, New Jersey, published his book from Panda Publishing Agency. The story was inspired by Jain’s transition to a new pre-school where he was not allowed to bring food from home. Jain’s father Neeraj Kumar said more than 1,300 copies of the book were sold worldwide and the number was still growing. In an earlier interview cited by reports from South Brunswick, Neeraj Kumar said that he and his wife Sonal Bansal began the journey of making Dino’s story into a book in July 2025 and the process took 10 months. Advay’s elder sister Avya too is also a published author of ‘The Call of the Nether’.Advay’s storytelling started through images, as he used to draw his ideas on walls. His parents never stopped him but helped him culminate those into a fully developed book of drawings and little stories. The four-year-old is already working on a sequel where Dino will learn other important lessons.
