The program was organized at Mini Stadim Salon under Mukhyamantri Group Marriage Scheme, this grand event was inaugurated by Ma. MLA Salon Ashok Kumar, Chief Development Officer Arpit Upadhyay.
After this, the priests gave seven rounds to all the couples amidst the Vedic chanting and performed the entire ritual of marriage. In this mass wedding ceremony, 203 couples from various development blocks of the district participated, including the development block Dih 93, Chhatoh 55 Salon 40, NP Slon 01, Nasi Jirabad 05, NP Parshadepur 09 couples.
During the mass marriage, the Hon’ble MLA, Chief Development Officer blessed the newly married couples and wished all the new couples for new marital life and each couple was gifted clothes, jewelery etc.
District Social Welfare Officer Srishti Awasthi said that 203 couples have been married in this event. Under this scheme, an amount of 51000 per joints is permissible for the joints, under which 35000 rupees are transferred to the girl’s account, the newly married couples are provided as a gift for domestic and personal use for 10000 rupees and 6000 rupees are spent on organizing and other arrangements. SDM Salon Mithilesh Kumar Tripathi and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
