Latur. Hundreds of Bangladeshis have been arrested from several districts of Maharashtra in the recent past. Bangladeshi, who was arrested in the last days, lived illegally in these districts. Meanwhile, Maharashtra BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has made a big claim.
Maharashtra BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said on Friday that 3,056 Bangladeshis have been issued birth certificates in Latur in a fake way. He met the collector in this regard.

After talking to the collector in Latur, the BJP leader spoke to reporters. During this, the former Lok Sabha MP said that the district administration has assured that investigation will be conducted. The BJP leader claimed that after submitting fake documents, more than 1.23 lakh Bangladeshis have secured birth certificates in Maharashtra. He said that 3,421 people of Bangladesh in Latur obtained birth certificates by depositing only Aadhaar cards in the Tehsil office. Of these, 3,056 got birth certificates.
