Lucknow ! The state government conducted several programs to provide drinking water to each family, but every household water program run by the present government was the most successful program. The Water Life Mission has been started by incorporating the National Rural Drinking Water Supply Scheme earlier by the Government of India in the year 2019-2020. Neer Nirmal Project was also run in the 14 districts helpful in the state in the state.
Apart from this, the State Rural Drinking Water Program has also been conducted to supply drinking water by pipes in rural areas. Under the Water Life Mission run by the Government of India, a target has been set to provide “every house water” by pipe drinking water scheme by the year 2024.
The Center for the supply of rural drinking water in the state is being operated by the Central and State Government on the basis of Rs 45 percent and 10 percent funding by community contribution. Water is to be provided to every house under the Water Life Mission. In this regard, guidelines were issued by the state government in the order of guidelines issued by the Government of India. Under which the pipeline is being given clean drinking water from the tap to the houses.
Drinking water facility has been provided through hand pump/pipe scheme on the basis of 40 grams per capita per person as per standard. 28,95,361 hand pumps are installed in rural areas of the state. At present, a hand pump has been installed on every 58 persons in the state. In this way, the minimum requirement of drinking water has been saturated in terms of 40 liters per person per day standard.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission “Every Ghar Jal Jal” program, the Center for the supply of rural drinking water in the state is being conducted by the Central and State Government on the basis of 50: 50 percent funding, under which “every house is to be provided with taps”. The Government of India has set a target of covered by pipe drinking water schemes by the Government of India by the year 2024.
Under the Water Life Mission, a total of 2.6689 crore houses in the state are targeted to be good with pure pipe drinking water by the year 2024. As of August 2019, only 05.16 lakh (1.94) in the state, pipe drinking water could be made available in rural areas through FHTC. Till November 2024 in the state, about 2.315 crores (86.72) F.H.T.C. has been provided pure drinking water to the rural population from pipe drinking water scheme and the remains in about 35.39 lakh houses. The work of C. is being completed by the year 2025.
In Bundelkhand region, 41 surface sources of water based and 423 groundwater based pipe drinking water projects are targeted to supply pure drinking water through FHTC in 14,27,078 houses in a total of 4470 revenue villages. 14,10061 FHTC has been made available in Bundelkhand area. Pure drinking water is to be supplied through 669165 FHTC in 3307 revenue villages through 21 superficial source water projects and 140 groundwater based projects in Vindhya region.
In relation to which 6,01,629 FHTCs have been made available by November 2024.
For other districts of the state, work has been allocated in all revenue villages by listing 33 working firms through tender, 14 superficial sources based schemes are being done by selected firms in 6439 revenue villages of Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, Ballia, Unnao, Prayagraj and Chandauli.
