CDRI scientist elected Fellow of Indian National Science Academy

Lucknow: Chief scientist and head of Endocrinology Division at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Ritu Trivedi, has been elected a Fellow of Indian National Science Academy (FNA) for 2026 in recognition of her contributions to translational biomedical research, particularly in metabolic bone and musculoskeletal disorders.Trivedi’s research focuses on translating scientific discoveries from laboratories into technologies and products that can have a direct societal impact. Her major works include discoveries for rapid fracture healing, the management of post-menopausal osteoporosis, and the management of osteoarthritis and obesity-induced bone loss.Trivedi is also an elected Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). She received the National Technology Excellence Award for Women in 2022 from Department of Science and Technology for excellence in translational research.
