For people working during festivals, being away from home can mean missing some of the moments they look forward to the most. A family puja may be planned, but work schedules do not always leave room for those plans. One Air India cabin crew member recently found herself in a similar situation, only for her workday to take an unexpected turn.Anuradha Soni shared the experience on Instagram, describing what happened as a “beautiful blessing”. Her video shows a moment that brought a personal touch to an otherwise routine flight.

A sudden change to her plans

Soni was unable to attend the Ganpati Puja at home after her flight was changed at the last minute. She was assigned to operate another flight instead.Sharing how she felt about missing the puja, she wrote, “Sometimes, Bappa has a way of making you feel His presence exactly when you need it the most,” she wrote in the caption. “Today, I was actually feeling very sad. My flight got changed, and because of that, I couldn’t attend the Ganpati Puja at home. I had to operate another flight, and I thought to myself…’Bappa, iss baar aapki puja miss ho jayegi.’ But Bappa had completely different plans for me.”ID@undefined Caption not available.ID@undefined Caption not available.ID@undefined Caption not available.ID@undefined Caption not available.

A Ganpati idol onboard

During the flight, a passenger brought a Ganpati idol onboard. The timing happened to coincide with Ganpati Puja, allowing Soni to offer her prayers while she was on duty. She recalled the unexpected moment, saying, “To my absolute surprise, a guest brought a Ganpati idol on our flight, right around the time of Ganpati Puja. And suddenly, there I was… at 35,000 feet… doing my puja, saying my prayers, and taking Bappa’s blessings.”The video shows Soni welcoming the guest carrying the idol with a traditional ritual using a bottle of water.

‘Jo hum plan karte hain’

Soni said the moment made her feel that Bappa was with her despite her being away from home.“At that moment, it genuinely felt like Bappa was telling me…’Main tumhare saath hoon, chahe tum kahin bhi ho.’ And I think yeh kehna bilkul galat nahi hoga…’Jo hum plan karte hain, usse kahin zyaada achha Bappa ka plan hota hai.’”She later thanked Bappa for the experience, writing, “Thank you, Bappa… for this beautiful blessing, this beautiful moment, and this unforgettable experience. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
