Aligarh: A flood of reverence and devotion in pagoda

Aligarh। On the last Monday of the month of Shravan, the Mahasangam of faith was seen in the Shiva temples. From morning onwards, the atmosphere became devotional with the echo of the bells of the pagoda and the shouts of every Har Mahadev. Devotees continued to throng the famous Vankhandi Mahadev Temple in the town. The Kanwariya, who arrived on foot with water from the Ganges Ghat, was seen earning merit by performing Jalabhishek on the Shivling on Monday.

At the same time, on the last Monday of Sawan, Shiva devotees thronged the temple at Sahara Khurd, a village established by Lord Kartikeya. Devotees who brought Ganga water from different Ganga ghats to Kawand performed Jalabhishek at Kumareshwar, Pratigeshwar, Kapaleshwar as soon as it was twelve o’clock in the night. Bhandara was also accompanied by Shiva-Parvati Katha. On this occasion, SDM Paritosh Mishra, CO Mahesh Kumar, Inspector Narendra Yadav were former District President of SP Dr. Rakshapal Singh, Principal Representative Sanjay Chaudhary, Dharampal Singh etc.
