Raebareli Weather Rain: The weather suddenly took a turn in the entire Awadh region including Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. While light to moderate rains gave some relief to the people, the thunder of clouds and the glow of lightning also alerted people. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of rain and thunderclap (lightning) in 20 districts of the state.

Lucknow, the capital soaked due to rain
The sky remained cloudy in Lucknow in the early morning. In a few hours, drizzle started and the morning atmosphere became very cold and romantic. The public and school children were seen getting wet in light rain. There was relief on the faces of people troubled by the heat. However, this rain did not last long and the weather started to clear again by noon. But this light rain definitely indicated that Western Disturbance is currently active on North India.

Meteorological department released alert
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for 20 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including:
Lucknow
Barabanki
Sitapur
Unnao
Rae Bareli
Amethi
Fatehpur
Pratapgarh
Sultanpur
Ayodhya
Bahraich
Gonda
Balrampur
Shravasti
Basti
Gorakhpur
Sant Kabir Nagar
Deoria
Mau
Azamgarh
There is a possibility of strong wind, rain and lightning in these districts for the next 24 hours.
Western disturbance effect weak
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, this seasonal change is due to Western disturbance, which is moving through the mountainous areas of North India. However, its effect will weaken in the next 48 hours. This means that the scope of rain will gradually be reduced and after that the heat will start showing its effect in the state.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the central part of May will be extremely hot and dry. Especially in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj and Varanasi, the temperature can reach 42-45 degrees Celsius. Experts say that the effect of rain and clouds for some time will start as soon as it ends. Meteorologists have advised people not to get unnecessary in the sun and enough water consumption.

Health department also issued advisory
In view of the possibility of heat stroke, the state health department has also issued guidelines. It is advisable to take special care of the following things:
Do not leave the house from 12 noon to 4 pm
Do not go out on an empty stomach
Wear loose and light colored clothes
Consumption water, coconut water, shikanji and ORS
Take special care of children and the elderly

Both concern and relief for farmers
Light rains have given some relief for the cultivation of paddy and vegetables, but the possibility of suddenly returning the hot heat has also increased the concern of the farmers. Agricultural scientists have advised to maintain water balance in the fields and take measures to protect the crop from strong sunlight.

Effect on traffic, but not major incidents
Due to rain in Lucknow and surrounding cities, there was a situation of mild waterlogging in some areas, but at present there is no major accident or traffic barrier from anywhere. Police and traffic control rooms are on alert mode.

Public reaction
Seema Srivastava, a resident of Lucknow, says, “This rain has given some relief, but we know that the real summer of May is still left.” Rajesh Yadav, a resident of Amethi, says, “Suddenly mud and slippery caused problems, but coolness of two-three days was also necessary.”
