The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India celebrated Sefer Internet Day (Safe Internet Day) on 11 February 2025 to increase awareness for safe and responsible use of internet among the general public, especially children, women and youth.
The objective of this initiative is to educate various internet users about safe online practices, cyber hygiene, major cyber threats and effective strategies, promoting responsible internet use among citizens. According to this, a workshop was organized under the chairmanship of District Information Science Officer Rae Brijesh Tiwari as per the instructions of District Magistrate Harshita Mathur at District Informatics Center Rae Bareli, in which the officers/employees of the district were participated.
In this workshop, the District Information Science Officer gave information about cyber crime like digital arrest, fishing, malware, KYC fraud, parcel fraud, ecommerce fraud, identity theft etc. and discusses how to avoid these cyber frauds Was done.
