Like other developed states, exports have an important contributor to the economic development of Uttar Pradesh. Constant incentive efforts being made for export promotion in the state and the structural environment related to the constructed export environment, the exports from Uttar Pradesh have been exported by about 28 percent compared to the year 2017-18, exporting Rs 114.042 crore in the year 2018-19, which has been 10 percent more than the national export growth rate in the same period.
The state’s participation in exports from the country has exceeded 5 percent. The state’s exports in the financial year 2021-22 have increased by 30 percent of the last year 2020-21. In the financial year 2022-23, Rs 174.03 crore was exported from the state, which has increased by 16.5 percent compared to the year 2021-22. In the financial year 2023-24, the export of the state has increased a significant increase of 10 percent compared to the previous year. Buffalo meat, readymade garments, leather footwear, gold jewelery, iron, steel products, carpet aluminum products, finished leather, handicraft products were mainly UAE, Vietnam, U.K. Its products are being exported to countries like Nepal, Germany, China etc.
Registration of export units in the Export Promotion Bureau- Registration has been made in the bureau to get incentive / facility under various schemes being run by the Export Promotion Bureau and the entire process of registration has been done online. Online registration has been done by 3573 exporting units updated in the state.
Gold/Silver Card to Exporters: There is a provision to issue gold cards and silver cards to the exporters of the state with the objective of preference/priority and proper respect in their work in various government departments and admission in various government offices. Under this scheme, gold cards and Rs. Arrangements have been made to issue silver cards to export units with more than 20.00 lakh turnover. 746 units updated in the state were awarded gold cards and 63 units were awarded with silver card.
Advantage has also been made through the latest mandates issued on the date 13.05.2022, through the provision of making the facilities provided under the speedy export development encouragement scheme run by the State Government, the State Government has also made necessary amendments through the latest mandate issued on 13.05.2022.
Marketing Development Assistance to Exporters at the international level- Under this scheme, exporters of micro, small and medium industries sector of the state on stall charge for participating in foreign fair/exhibition. 02 lakhs and Rs. 1.00 lakh has been arranged. The approved assistance for the expenditure incurred on preparation of publicity, masta, advertisement, website etc. is increased from 0.60 lakh to Rs. 0.75 lakh per exporter was done per year. Increasing the allowable assistance amount on the expenditure incurred on the expenses incurred in dispatch of foreign buyers, Rs. 0.50 lakh to a maximum of Rs. 1.00 lakh per exporter has been done per year.
Under the Quality Control Scheme, ISO and BIS’s various categories for various categories such as Woolmark, Hallmark for Swarna Jhan, H.A.C. for Food Safety. CP And for the authentication of C. Mark etc. for electrical equipment, the permitted assistance amount is increased to Rs. 0.75 lakh to Rs. 2.00 lakh per exporter was done per year. A provision has been made to provide assistance of up to 90 percent of the expenditure to the organizer or Rs. For the international level trade fairs to be held in the country, a provision of 75 percent of the total expenditure has been provided to the organizer institution. A provision of assistance of up to Rs. 0.25 lakh has also been made on organizing virtual trade fair.
