Lucknow: Nishad Party has started mobilising voters ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections in UP. It has organised two outreach events in the state so far. The inaugural event was organised in Prayagraj in Sept and the second in Sultanpur on Oct 4.According to party spokesperson Rajeev Yadav, eight mega events have been planned by the party in different districts. Of these, two have been organised already. The rest will be held in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Delhi and Varanasi. The schedule for the events has not been announced by the party’s national president and fisheries minister of UP, Sanjay Nishad, yet.The districts chosen are politically significant for the party in terms of the number of its voters and also implementation of the welfare schemes launched for the fishermen community by the BJP govt. The Lucknow and Delhi events will also bring in more visibility for the party. These outreach events mark the start of the party’s official election campaign for the upcoming Sssembly polls in the state. Their objective is to inform the party’s voters, predominantly Nishad, about the welfare schemes of the BJP govt at the Ventre and in the state, which cater to them exclusively.“Nishad Party aims to unite its community and inform them about the work done, steps taken and benefits of public welfare schemes implemented for the uplift of the fishing community during the party’s tenure in govt over the past four and a half years,” said Sanjay Nishad in Ayodhya on Saturday, ahead of the Sunday event. The party has divided UP into 10 zones, with each zone comprising 10 Lok Sabha constituencies. The party will organise various programmes across all 10 of these zones.
