Antioxidant-rich, made without refined sugar, and packed with nutrient-dense whole-food ingredients—yes, this is a chocolate dessert you and your kids can feel good about.

These vegan and gluten-free treats take just minutes to prep and are made with ingredients like raw cacao, avocado, dates, banana, nuts, and seeds.

Raw cacao is rich in antioxidant plant compounds called flavanols as well as minerals like magnesium and iron. Avocados add incredible creaminess along with fiber, potassium, and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. Dates provide natural sweetness, fiber, potassium, and other minerals without the need for refined sugar.

I also love adding chia, hemp, and ground flax seeds for an extra boost of fiber, plant-based protein, minerals, and healthy fats. Chia and flax are especially good plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid omega-3 fatty acids.

I make chocolate mousse and pudding in so many ways! Here are three of my favorites. Get creative with your toppings—berries, cacao nibs, coconut, seeds, or even beautiful edible organic rose petals.
