Lucknow: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, celebrated its 31st Foundation Day on Monday under the theme “A Legacy That Keeps Leading Forward”, bringing together students, faculty, alumni and members of the institute community. Lucknow Municipal Corporation Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, IAS, attended the event as chief guest.The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a presentation tracing the institute’s journey. Director Dr Sushma Vishnani and Kumar addressed the gathering. A Green Certificate was also presented.Kumar said management education was relevant to the decisions professionals make, the teams they lead and the communities they serve. He said as Lucknow grows, professionals need to understand management alongside the realities of the people and institutions around them.Vishnani said the institute was strengthening learning, research and industry engagement while providing students more opportunities to apply their knowledge.The event also featured Academic Excellence Awards, Alumni Achievement Awards and Loyalty Awards, recognising academic performance, professional achievements and long-standing association with the institute. A cultural dance performance was followed by the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.Jaipuria Lucknow has an MoU with the Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Ministry of Railways, for academic collaboration, research, training and capacity building. Its Centre for Teaching and Learning is also part of the EU co-funded Erasmus+ AIDEdu project involving higher education institutions from Europe, India and Nepal.
