The idea is very simple. All you need to do is, take a fresh and new roll of toilet paper and place it on a shelf or in a corner, where it is left for several hours or overnight. The idea behind this hack is that it help absorb moisture and, to some extent, odours inside the refrigerator. And since, refrigerators are enclosed spaces, smells from foods such as onions, garlic, cheese and leftovers can sometimes linger and mix together. It has been found that toilet paper is highly absorbent, so it can soak up small amounts of moisture. Some people therefore use a roll as a low-cost alternative to commercial moisture absorbers or odour-control products.
