Organized on legal rights of prisoners in district prison

Rae Bareli! Under the direction of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow and Hon’ble District Judge Inspection was done. During the inspection, the Additional District Judge/Secretary visited the Pakshala, Women’s Barrack, Jail Hospital and Legal Ad Clinic of the District Prison. In the jail hospital, the secretary came to know about the prisoners suffering from mental illness.
The Secretary encouraged women prisoners to participate in the self -employment training program being run for women prisoners. During the inspection, the secretary was informed about the availability of the advocate from the prisoners by the secretary, in addition, there is no such prisoner whose release has not been done due to non -payment of bail from the court. After inspection, a legal awareness program was also organized to make the prisoners aware.
The prisoners present in this program were given their legal rights and it was also told that the prisoners who need free advocates can take help through the legal ad clinics located in the jail. Jail Superintendent Aman Kumar Singh, Jailor Himanshu Rautela, Chief Legal Ed Defense Council Rajkumar Singh, Deputy Legal Ed Defense Council Jai Singh Yadav and Upkarapal Dharampal Singh were present during the inspection and legal awareness program.
