Patna: The body of a 21-year-old youth was found inside an abandoned house at Minhaj Nagar under the Phulwarisharif police station limits in Patna district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Mehtab Alam, a resident of the locality.Sushil Kumar, sub-divisional police officer (SDPO-I) of Phulwarisharif, said police received information around 4pm about a body lying in the area. “Acting swiftly, a police team reached the spot and started an investigation,” he said.A forensic science laboratory (FSL) team and a dog squad were called in to assist with evidence collection and a thorough examination. The body was sent to AIIMS-Patna for post-mortem, and police also checked CCTV footage from nearby locations.“Prima facie, it is difficult to say anything at this stage until the FSL and expert teams submit their findings. The cause of death will be known from the autopsy report,” the SDPO said, adding that further legal proceedings and investigation are underway.
