Varanasi: Returning home from a wedding ceremony, a youth was shot by some miscreants in Haldi area of Ballia district on Monday night. Ballia ASP (South) Kripa Shankar said Ayush Singh of Bharsauta village under Haldi police station, was shot by his rivals over an old dispute on Monday night when he was returning from a wedding ceremony. Singh was rushed to a hospital, from where doctors referred him to BHU trauma centre.Three police teams were engaged to arrest the accused. On Monday night, police received an alert regarding a person injured in firing near Bharsauta village and rushed him to district hospital. Singh named his assailants. Police said the case would be worked out soon. tnn
