Simran worked as a dancer in an orchestra and lived in the rented accommodation for the past three months along with two other women. Police said Sunil came to meet Simran on Monday night. At that time, her room-mates, one from Delhi and another from Nepal, were also present in the house. They were asked to sleep in a room on the ground floor. Witnesses told the police that an argument broke out between Simran and Sunil shortly after he arrived, and loud shouting was heard for a considerable period. The exact cause of the dispute is not yet known. On Tuesday morning, when Simran did not come out of her room for a long time, one of her room-mates knocked on the door, but received no response. The police were then informed. A team from the City police station reached the spot, sealed the premises, and took both bodies into custody. The bodies were sent to the mortuary of Sirsa civil hospital for post-mortem examination. The police also recovered mobile phones of the deceased and sent those for cyber analysis. Police officials said families of both Simran and Sunil had been informed. Further details will emerge after the post-mortem reports are received and the investigation is completed.
