Prayagraj: A 24-year-old labourer, identified as Kuldeep Bind, was allegedly thrashed to death by four of his friends near Bajha Dauatpur village, under the limits of Jhunsi police station, late on Sunday night. The body of the deceased was found lying near one close friend’s house. Police have detained two of the persons named in the FIR for questioning.Station Officer (Jhunsi) Mahesh Mishra told TOI that Kuldeep and his friends drank liquor on Sunday night. However, things went wrong when some of his friends attacked Kuldeep with a sharp wooden piece and left him killed on the spot.The family members of the deceased told police that his friends called him from the house on Sunday evening, but Kuldeep did not return. His body was found in the village on Monday morning. The body was sent for post-mortem. A named FIR was lodged against four persons. The police detained two of them for questioning. tnn
