Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be on a five day tour of Singapore and Japan, where he will meet with Indian diaspora, industry experts and government officials to seek investment for UP and extend cultural and economic ties.The CM, accompanied by senior government officials and members of Invest UP, is scheduled to depart for the tour on Feb 22. Government sources said that road shows will be held in both countries where Yogi will interact with the Indian diaspora, specifically those from UP. In addition to his meetings, the CM will also have a first-hand experience of high class infrastructure projects, like Japan’s Maglev train which travels at a speed of 600 kmph.In Singapore, the CM will attend meetings related to strengthening UP-Singapore ties. Discussions will be held on partnership in sectors such as urban development, smart cities, water management, and skills collaboration.During this visit to Japan, the CM will visit Yamanashi, Osaka and Kyoto where he will interact with senior government officials. “A conference on the Japan–Uttar Pradesh Partnership for Manufacturing, Mobility and Technology is to be held in Japan. During this event, the CM will interact with top Japanese corporations working in the fields of EV, electronics, rail, engineering, chemicals and logistics.On Wednesday, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority sent a proposal to the state government for the development of a Japan City and Singapore City. The Authority has identified land within its jurisdiction and during his visit to the two countries, the CM is expected to invite proposals for investment in these two zones.
