Kanpur: The body of a 48-year-old woman in a semi-nude condition was discovered in the Sen Paschim Para police station area on Friday, sparking fears of murder following a possible rape, according to police.On being alerted, police arrived at the scene, summoned a forensic team to gather evidence, and sent the body for an autopsy.
The woman was the wife of a labourer and lived in the Sen Paschim Para police station area. Her elder son reported that she left home on Thursday evening to attend a religious event. When she did not return by Friday morning, he went to the police station but found it closed. He later received a call from neighbours informing him that his mother’s body was found in the bushes.Pradeep Singh, the officer in charge of the Sen Paschim Para police station, stated that an FIR will be filed based on the autopsy report and the complaint.
