Prayagraj: A 32-year-old woman and her minor daughter were killed after being hit by a speeding train while crossing the railway track near Sirathu railway station in Kaushambi district on Sunday morning, GRP said.The deceased were identified as Bano, 32, and her six-year-old daughter, Hamira, residents of Gauspur Navanwa village. They arrived at the railway station to catch a train for Kanpur to attend a family function.At around 8am, while they were crossing the railway track to catch a train, they were hit by a speeding train on the Delhi-Howrah rail route, resulting in their deaths on the spot. After being alerted, senior GRP (Govt Railway Police) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials rushed to the spot and carried out investigations. The bodies were sent for postmortem.
