The process also allows a very short time for submitting objections prior to announcing the final results.Important dates of JEE Main 2026 Session 1The National Testing Agency has made public a detailed schedule of Session 1 post, exam activities. The provisional answer key and individual response sheets will be made available on February 4, 2026. The answer key challenge window will remain open from February 4 to February 5, 2026.The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result is likely to be announced on February 12, 2026. The deadline for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration has been set for February 25, 2026.

How to download the JEE Main 2026 answer key and response sheet?

The official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, provides the answer key and response sheet to be downloaded. When candidates log in to the website, they should select the link to download the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 response sheet and answer key. To revert to the login page, candidates need to enter their application number and date of birth or password.Once logged in, candidates will have access to the question status alongside the option IDs which they have chosen. The answer key and response sheet may be printed or downloaded and kept in one of the PDF formats for submitting the admission procedure. Based on the official marking scheme of +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect answer, candidates can calculate their probable scores.JEE Main 2026 Session 1 attendance and exam detailsThe January session witnessed a large number of candidates at the examination centers. Out of 13,00,368 registered candidates, 96.26 per cent appeared for the examination.
