Pop star Kylie Minogue has says it’s “really special” to see her likeness created in a new Barbie doll, dressed in her red Padam Padam music video costume.
The Barbie Signature Collector Doll was made after toy manufacturers Mattel worked closely with the Australian singer.
The company previously teamed up with Minogue in 2024 to create a one-of-a-kind doll to honour her as a Barbie Role Model during Barbie’s 65th anniversary.
Minogue said: “Seeing this doll come to life has been really special.
“The response to the one-of-a-kind Barbie Role Model was overwhelming, so I was excited to team up with Mattel again and I can’t wait to see Kylie Barbie out in the wild.”
Her single Padam Padam was released in 2023 and came from her 16th studio album, Tension.
Minogue, who began her music career in the late 1980s, has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, had 11 UK number one albums, and has won multiple awards.
She said: “Connection has always been at the heart of everything I do, and sharing the joy and fun of the Tension era with people across the globe has been an incredible experience.
“From the spark of Padam Padam through to the Tension album and world tour, this Barbie feels like a perfect snapshot of that time.”
