Ahmedabad: There would be a drop in the minimum temperature on Wednesday, indicated a forecast by the India meteorological department (IMD) on Tuesday. From 17.2°C on Tuesday, it could drop to 14 degrees. On Tuesday, it was 4.4 degrees higher than normal. At 28.6°C, the maximum temperature was 0.1 degree lower than normal.The synoptic situation indicated a trough from the northeast Arabian Sea to north Punjab across Saurashtra and Kutch, West Rajasthan, and a cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan, in addition to the Western Disturbance.The state forecast indicated a fall in minimum temperatures by 3-5 degrees during the next 24 hours, and then a gradual rise by 2-4 degrees during the subsequent three days. There was no major change thereafter, according to the forecast.Only Naliya had a minimum temperature below 10 degrees, at 9.4°C, followed by Bhuj at 11°C, Rajkot at 11.4°C, Kandla at 11.6°C, and Keshod at 11.9°C.
