Want probe: Mom of flight attendant

Mumbai/Pune: Pinky Mali, a 29-year-old flight attendant who died in the plane crash, had told her younger brother on Tuesday night that she wanted to help financially poor students by training them to join the aviation industry, report Mateen Hafeez & Sandip Dighe. She also assured her father over the phone that she would call him once she reached Nanded. Instead, her father got news of her death.Pinky’s mother, Maya (56), was inconsolable. Asked by a news channel whether she wanted an investigation into the crash, Maya said yes: ā€œI want to know the cause of her death. My daughter has left. She won’t come back.ā€Elder sister Preeti said Pinky had been in the industry for eight years. ā€œPinky studied in a govt school in Prabhadevi. After Class 12, she did a course and joined as ground staff in 2017. She had been working as cabin crew since 2022 and worked for a couple of airlines,ā€ she said.The Malis have roots in UP’s Jaunpur.
