Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Uttarakhand Ration Card

Urban Areas:

  4. Bank account information
  5. Income details
  6. Submit the application form and required documents at the District Supply Office (DSO)
  7. Acknowledgment receipt will be provided on successful verification of documents
  8. The application will be forwarded by the clerk of DSO to Supply Inspector of the concerned area
  9. SI will visit the applicant’s house for physical verification of the family details

After successful verification, SI will approve the ration card, and the application will be forwarded back to DSO. The clerk will affix the photograph, add the family details, and will enter the ration card details into the master register. DSO will attach the ration card to the nearest Fair Price Shop. Applicants need to submit the acknowledgement receipt to receive the new ration card.

Rural Areas:

  1. Visit the Block Development Office (BDO) in the area
  2. Submit all required documents along with the application form to the Gram Panchayat Officer (GPO)
  3. After verification, GPO will provide acknowledgment receipt to the applicant
  4. GPO will also forward the application to the Supply Inspector (SI) for verification
  5. SI will visit the house of the applicant for verification
  6. On successful verification, the ration card application will be approved by the SI.

GPO will make the necessary entries in the new ration card and will attach it to the nearest Fair Price Shop. Applicants will receive a new ration card upon submitting the acknowledgement receipt.

How to Renew Ration card?

The following are the steps to renew the Uttarakhand ration card:

  1. Attach the old ration card with the application form.
  2. Submit the required documents as mentioned by the DSO or BDO.
  3. Applicant must renew the ration card within two months after the expiry of the existing ration card.
  4. Applicants need to pay Rs.5 for renewing Uttarakhand ration card.

Note: If the ration card is not renewed within two months after expiry of the old ration card, then the details of the ration card will be removed from the master register.
