Chandigarh: In the sensational murder case of Inderjit Singh alias Parry, the Chandigarh police have brought two shooters and their accomplices to Chandigarh on a production warrant from Delhi’s Tihar Jail and Ambala Jail.

The accused were produced before the Chandigarh district court and the cops obtained their seven-day police remand for further interrogation. The accused brought on a production warrant are Piyush Piplani of Panchkula; Kunwarbir of Amritsar; and Gopal and Shivam of Faridkot in Punjab. The Chandigarh police also applied for production warrants for three other accused – Ankush of Panchkula; Lovepreet Singh of Narayangarh; and Santokh alias Kapil Khatri of Tarn Taran.

They will also be brought to Chandigarh soon for interrogation.

The police investigation revealed that Piyush Piplani and Ankush were the main shooters in the murder of Parry and Kunwarbir drove the car used during the crime Other accused have been charged with providing logistical support to the gang, supplying weapons, vehicles, mobile phones and SIM cards, as well as sheltering the shooters and planning further crimes. Delhi Special Cell also recovered four pistols during the arrest of accused Piyush, Ankush and Kunwarbir in Dec last year.

According to police officials, all accused are connected to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s close associates – Hari Boxer and Arzoo Bishnoi. They all had gathered in Delhi to plan a new crime when the Delhi Police Special Cell arrested them.After Parry’s murder, the Lawrence group first claimed responsibility for the killing by posting on Facebook the same day. Following this, a call recording of a conversation between Bishnoi and Parry surfaced. Later, voice recordings of gangsters Goldy Brar and Hari Boxer also emerged, in which both were heard levelling allegations against each other and revealing their mutual conflict. Gopal and Shivam were arrested by the police after Parry’s murder.

Both are accused of providing pistols, mobile phones, SIM cards, and vehicles to the shooters.
