Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is set to project its cultural identity on a wider national and global canvas with a specially curated cultural evening at Delhi Haat on Jan 24, positioning UP Diwas not merely as a commemorative occasion but as a confident expression of the state’s civilisational depth, artistic traditions and contemporary aspirations.The event, scheduled to begin at 5.30 pm, will bring together the state’s crafts, cuisine and performing arts in the heart of the national capital. Senior govt of India officials, diplomats from 18-20 foreign missions, members of the Indian diaspora and eminent personalities from Uttar Pradesh are expected to attend, underlining growing international interest in the state’s cultural and social legacy. Curated around the theme ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh’, the venue will offer a visual and experiential narrative that seeks to connect tradition with progress. Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh said the Delhi Haat programme is envisaged as a cultural bridge, bringing together people of UP origin, diplomats and cultural stakeholders on a common platform.
