UP Crime: Retired soldier turns out to be the killer of his younger brother…shot in property dispute; Police revealed the case after 20 days

Mainpuri. Police has solved the murder of an old man that happened in broad daylight 20 days ago in Mainpuri . Elder brother Surajpal killed his younger brother Hetram. The matter was related to land dispute and cutting of bamboos. Police solved this murder case with the help of surveillance team and arrested the accused Surajpal along with the gun used in the murder.The incident is of 19 November. 65-year-old Hetram was murdered in Harganpur village of the police station area. His son Veeresh Kumar had lodged a report against an unknown accused in this murder case. When the police started investigating, the case was found to be related to property and land dispute between real brothers.

Police investigation revealed

During the investigation, it was revealed that Surajpal was Hetram’s elder brother and was a retired army man. Surajpal had three brothers, Bhimchand, who lived in Agra, and Hetram, who was a farmer in the village. The houses of these three brothers were built near each other and they had two bighas of vacant land.

There was a dispute between the brothers regarding property

This dispute deepened when Bhimchand sold his share of land and house to Hetram, while Surajpal wanted to take possession of his share of land. Apart from this, there was also a dispute over the bamboos standing in the joint field of the brothers. Hetram had got some bamboos cut, due to which the animosity between Surajpal and Hetram increased.

On November 19, Surajpal saw his younger brother Hetram sitting near bamboos and shot him. Hearing the gunshot, people from the vicinity rushed to the spot, but by then Hetram had died. During the investigation of the case, the police suspected Surajpal and arrested the accused with the help of the surveillance team.

Police also recovered a pistol from the accused

The police also recovered the pistol used in the murder from Surajpal. Station in-charge inspector Pradeep Kumar Pandey confirmed the case and said that the accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. He said that this murder was due to property dispute and family feud and the police will soon take further action in this case.
