UP brings PM e-Vidya lessons to YouTube

Lucknow: The UP govt has expanded the reach of digital education by making five PM e-Vidya DTH channels available on YouTube, enabling students from Bal Vatika to Class 12 to access class-wise educational content from home. The initiative, being implemented through the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), UP, aims to make digital learning resources more accessible to students, teachers and parents. Students can watch lessons at their convenience and revisit recorded content to strengthen their understanding.Under the arrangement, Channel 173 provides educational content for Bal Vatika to class two, channel 174 for classes three to five, channel 175 for classes six to eight, channel 176 for classes nine and 10 and channel 177 for classes 11 and 12.Govt said providing the channels on YouTube alongside DTH services would offer students an additional platform for learning and revision, particularly for those who may not be able to access lessons at a fixed broadcast time. The channels can also be subscribed free of cost.Minister of state (independent) for basic education Sandeep Singh said govt was committed to using technology to take quality education to every child. He said the YouTube availability of class-wise PM e-Vidya channels would provide students with an easy opportunity to study and revise lessons from home.SCERT UP joint director Pawan Sachan said linking the PM e-Vidya channels with YouTube had further widened access to digital educational content, allowing students to easily connect with resources according to their respective classes.
