Prayagraj: The marks of the practical examinations for UP Board Class 12 (Intermediate) that began on Saturday will be uploaded online through a mobile app featuring a double-entry system to eliminate any possibilities of errors.Board secretary Bhagwati Singh said last year the facility for uploading practical exam marks online through an app was introduced for the first time. As the system was new, examiners were instructed to submit marks both online and offline to prevent any loss of data. Following the successful implementation of the system, the board this year directed that marks be submitted entirely online. To ensure greater accuracy and prevent discrepancies, examiners are required to upload marks twice. Using the mobile app, an examiner will select a group of assigned candidates—up to a maximum of 80 at a time—and upload the awarded marks. After the first submission, the system automatically reopens a window for re-uploading the same set of marks to verify accuracy. If any mismatch is detected, the system displays both entries and allows the examiner to rectify the incorrect marks. The system will not accept any erroneous or mismatched entries. According to Vishwanath Mishra, a computer teacher at Shivcharandas Kanhaiyalal Inter College, once an examiner logs into the app at the examination centre, the system verifies the current geo-parameters with the previously recorded location. The board also provided an online facility for examiners to submit complaints or suggestions related to practical examinations. Examiners can log on to the official website using their user ID and password. A dedicated section is provided for submitting suggestions or complaints. Alternatively, examiners can upload handwritten observations or complaints through a browser. However, location verification is not required while submitting complaints or suggestions.
