Noida: Police have busted two criminal gangs involved in vehicle theft and mobile snatching across the city. Four persons have been arrested so far and police have recovered 15 stolen two-wheelers, mobile phones, weapons and exposed well-organised crime networks operating in Noida and Delhi-NCR.In the first case, Sector 58 police busted a gang involved in stealing two-wheelers from crowded markets and commercial areas. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested gang leader Anurag Pandey and his associate Devdutt Sharma while they were attempting to strike again. Based on their disclosure, cops recovered 15 stolen motorcycles and scooters hidden in bushes at isolated locations.DCP Noida Yamuna Prasad said the action was taken after a recent bike theft in the Sector 58 area. Under the supervision of ACP Swatantra Singh, a special team was formed to track the offenders. Investigations revealed that Anurag, a resident of Sultanpur currently living in Delhi, is the gang’s kingpin and has over 20 criminal cases registered against him in Noida and Delhi. His associate Devdutt Sharma, originally from Alwar, Rajasthan, has 12 cases registered against him.During interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing more than 100 two-wheelers across Delhi-NCR. They targeted vehicles parked for long durations in deserted areas and broke locks within 2 minutes. Stolen vehicles were hidden in bushes and later sold for Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 in rural areas of western UP through agents who earned commission.
