Bahraich: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested two Nepali youths with gold and diamond jewellery worth crores of rupees at Rupaidiha checkpost on Indo-Nepal border in Bahraich. The accused were attempting to flee to Nepal after allegedly stealing the valuables from Hyderabad.Commandant, 42nd Battalion of SSB, Ganga Singh Udaawat said the inspector of Jubilee Hills police station, Hyderabad, shared intelligence regarding two Nepali nationals who had stolen gold, diamond jewellery and other precious items worth crores of rupees and were planning to escape to Nepal via Bahraich.
Hyderabad police had also shared photographs of the suspects, following which an intensive checking drive was launched at the Rupaidiha check post. During the operation, two suspicious Nepali youths were intercepted and gold bangles, valuable gems and rings were recovered from them.The accused were identified as Krishna Chandra of Karnali district, and Bhupendra Shahi, a resident of Athabis, Dailekh district, Nepal. Both the accused were later handed over to Hyderabad police inspector Kaviuddin and his team for legal action.
