Two killed in road accident

Varanasi: Two people were killed when their bike collided with a four-wheeler carrying devotees from Andhra Pradesh on the Babhanpura Ganga bridge under the Chaubeypur police station area late Thursday. According to reports, the deceased — Ravindra Mishra, Shriman Narayan Yadav and a minor boy — were travelling towards Varanasi from Chandauli on a motorcycle when they collided with a four-wheeler on the Ring Road. No occupant of the four-wheeler was injured. The four-wheeler was carrying devotees to Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Station (Mughalsarai) after offering prayers at Kashi Vishwanath temple. The Chaubeypur police brought the injured to Narapatpur for primary treatment, where Ravindra died. Shriman was sent to the BHU Trauma Centre in a critical condition, where he also died during treatment.
