Kanpur: Two fire incidents occurred in the city on Friday, including the blaze in a four-storey building in Chamanganj area and another at 178-B High Rise Premium and Chandra Microplast factory in Dada Nagar under Govind Nagar police station limits. Fire personnel brought fire under control at both the locations. No casualties ere reported.In Chamanganj police station area, the fire control room received information that a grocery shop caught fire in a four-storey building near Rupam Talkies intersection. Fifteen families live in the building. Three fire brigade vehicles from Colonelganj and Latouche Road reached the spot, said chief fire officer Deepak Sharma. Fire personnel rescued 24 residents of the building and evacuated houses adjacent the building. It took around 30 minutes to douse the flame.In another incident, fire broke out in a factory in Dada Nagar area. Information was received at mini control room around 3:06am on Friday morning after which a fire brigade from Fazalganj reached the spot.Investigation revealed that fire started in electrical board and wires in Chandra Microplast factory . Fire personnel brought the fire under control in 25 minutes.
