Jaipur: Shashikant Ramani, Riaz Ahmed, Jagdish Tanwar, Sohini Kumari and Rani Smita Jain bagged three titles each on the penultimate day of the O N Dixit ITF World Tennis Masters MT-400 tournament at the Jai Club here on Tuesday.In the men’s 60 plus final, R Nagaraj thumped Bhanu Pratap Singh 6-1, 6-1. Balkrishna Bhatia defeated Srinivas Reddy 6-3, 6-2 to claim the 55 plus men’s singles title.In the 45 plus singles final, Rohan Bhasin rallied back to down Samrat Bhasin 5-7, 6-0 10-8. Riyaz Ahmed also had to stretch himself to get the better of Vikas Chaudhary 7-5, 7-5 in the 40 plus final.In the 35 plus category, Ankit Setia edged past Kartikey Singh 7-5, 7-6(7), while in 30+, Shashikant Ramani trounced Lavish Nehra 6-4, 6-4 in the 30 plus section.Preeti Ujjaini outclassed Sanjana 6-1, 6-2 to win the 30 plus singles title.In the 50 plus mixed doubles, Sohini Kumari and Jagdish Tanwar triumphed. Rani Smita Jain and Riyaz Ahmed (40 plus) and Chetna Asari and Shashi Kant Ramani (30 plus) reigned supreme.Sohini Kumari, who competed in the 55 plus group, has represented India three times in international competitions including the Federation Cup and her father Yashwant Singh has also been the secretary of the Delhi Tennis Association.
