Kanpur: A Kanpur Dehat transporter was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an ambulance at Regency Hospital, Kanpur, on Monday morning. A man and woman dropped him off and made a quick escape.The deceased was identified Manish Yadav, 40, from Raniya-Jainpur in Kanpur Dehat. His family is shocked as he had left home for Chitrakoot, but ended up dead at the hospital, leaving behind a trail of questions.Manish, a transporter in Jainpur, left home in his car on Sunday evening saying he was headed to Chitrakoot. His family – wife Anamika, kids Payal, Karan, and Arjun – hadn’t heard from him till late night. His brother Sunil Kumar Yadav said it’s all very suspicious.At 3:30 am on Monday, Manish’s phone rang – a woman’s unknown voice said he was critical at Regency Hospital. A man’s call followed, pushing the family to rush, saying Manish’s condition was very serious.When the family arrived at the hospital, they found Manish’s body in an ambulance parked on the hospital grounds. The man and woman who brought him to the hospital were not present. Station officer Kakadeo Rajesh Kumar Sharma said that CCTV footage was being reviewed. “Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and the family’s statement,” he said.
