Noida: Traffic police announced restrictions near Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida for the three-day World Forum of Accountants from Friday. Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal is to attend the event on day one, while transport minister Nitin Gadkari is scheduled to visit on Saturday.The event, being organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, is set to take place from Jan 30 to Feb 1, and aims at providing a dedicated platform for celebrating and advancing the chartered accountancy profession, officials said.Traffic police said around 10,000–12,000 visitors are expected to attend the programme each day. Traffic diversions will be put in place, and if congestion increases, traffic movement at the roundabout may be closed, police said. As the roundabout may be closed, traffic moving towards LG Chowk and Jagat Farm will be diverted from Galgotias Cut towards Sharda University. Vehicles exiting the NASA parking after the programme will be guided towards Trinity Institute and advised to avoid the Expo Mart roundabout.Traffic police have also made parking arrangements for both VIPs and visitors. VIP vehicles will be allowed to park inside the Expo Mart campus through gate number one, while other visitors can park their vehicles through gates number nine and 12. Visitors can also park their vehicles at the NASA parking facility in Knowledge Park.Shuttle services will also be available from ITO in Delhi and Botanical Garden in Noida to the programme venue. Visitors can also reach the venue via the Aqua Line metro, with shuttle services available from Pari Chowk metro station.Traffic police have also issued a helpline number (9971009001) for commuters seeking assistance.Officials said the forum is set to bring together leaders, policymakers, industry innovators, and young professionals, offering opportunities for exchange, partnership, and inspiration. By encouraging dialogue and diverse perspectives, WOFA 2.0 aims to empower accountants to act as catalysts for change and bridge gaps between govts, businesses, and communities.
